Setting Up a New Volunteer
If you have not selected the "Volunteers" tab, please select it now. On the left side of your screen is a column of buttons. Click the "New" button and a "New Volunteer Profile" screen will display.
You do not need to fill out all of the information under each of the tabs the first time you enter a new volunteer. You can always come back later (using the "Edit" button on the Volunteer screen) and add or change information. Your account will most likely NOT have all of these tabs. This is a complete list of all the tabs available in eCoordinator. To make your account more useable to you, your account was customized to include ONLY the tabs and information your organization needs. Also, you will notice that the volunteer profile closely matches the opportunity profile. This allows you to use our "Intelli-Match" system, Placing & Referring from Opportunities, and allows volunteers logging in through eRecruiter to search for Opportunities that match their profiles (see Profile Matching). If your account is NOT customized, or you would like to further customize your account, please contact us.
You can navigate through these tabs using the "Next" and "Prev" buttons at the bottom of the screen. Remember that when you are satisfied with the information you have entered, click "Finish" instead of "Cancel" or all of the new entries will be lost.
To enter a volunteer, you need to know his or her name so that you can fill in the required "First Name" and "Last Name" fields. Depending on your account settings, other fields such as "Gender," "User ID," "Password," etc., may also be required. You may choose which fields are required in Tools> Administrative Options menu. User IDs and Passwords must be at least six characters long.
The default state for the volunteers defaults to the state selected in "My Organization." If you did not choose a state for your Organization, please do so by editing your Organization (see Editing My Organization).
All User IDs must be unique.
