How to Merge or Separate an ERG in NYC DOHMH ICS program in Samaritan

Here are the steps for "How to Merge or Separate an ERG in NYC DOHMH ICS program in Samaritan":

1. Have IT push the EBD change. 
2. Login to Samaritan. 
3. Create a grid with the ICS Section/Branch data element in the Grid. 
4. Search the column on the new value, CHEFO. 
5. If the integration worked you should see staff records with the new value. 
6. If no, go to the top navigation /Tools/UDF Editor/.

a. Under "Responder" look for the UDF Group "ICS" 
b. Under "ICS" look for the UDF "ICS Section/Branch" 
c. Edit the UDF 
d. Look for the value "CHEFO". 
e. If not present:

1. Add to the UDF 
2. Talk to DOHMH IT and ask for the file they pushed.

a. Open the file and validate the value is present

1. If yes, email me back 
2. If no, talk to DOHMH IT

f. If yes, talk to DOHMH IT and ask for the file they pushed.

1. Open the file and validate the value is present

a. If yes, email me back 
b. If no, talk to DOHMH IT

7. If yes, go to the top navigation /Tools/UDF Editor/.

a. Under "Responder" look for the UDF Group "ICS" 
b. Under "ICS" look for the UDF "ICS Section/Branch" 
c. Edit the UDF 
d. Look for the OLD value(s) and delete them.

8. If yes, log into AMS. 
9. Navigate to the "User Filter" tab. 
10. If there are two or more ERGs to one, then delete one of the filters. 
11. Edit the ERG(s) filters. 
12. Change the filter value from "OLD value" to "CHEFO" 
13. Rename the User Filter's name. 
14. Save filter 
15. Navigate to the "User" tab. 
16. Edit the logins for the users that were in the old ERG. If you deleted their ERG User Filter, then reassign them to the newly named filter. If they were in the newly named filter no work is necessary.
