Why does the activity status change when volunteers update their profiles?

If you activity status is set as default to "applicant" but find that after updating their profile in eRecruiter, a volunteer's activity status changes in eCoordinator, it may be caused by the "Apply on Submit" control.

In the Activity Status feature you can not only set the default activity status for new volunteers, but you can also set it for anytime the "submit" button is used. This may unintentionally cause problems if you do not wish your "Active" volunteers to suddenly revert to "Applicant" status.

To fix, replace the control "Submit" button with the control "Save" button when profile is already existing.
